About the Role
An established organisation undergoing a major digital transformation is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Software Development team.
 
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Product Owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements across enterprise business applications, helping to improve business processes, introduce new functionality, and support strategic digital initiatives.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and play a key role in translating business needs into technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements through close collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Support developers throughout the software development lifecycle by clarifying requirements and assisting with release planning.
  • Contribute to software release management and change management activities.
  • Design, coordinate, and document testing procedures, release documentation, and validation activities.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders where required.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify risks throughout the project and release lifecycle and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and features from requirements gathering through to successful delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across business systems and software platforms.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role is considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise business applications or CRM platforms is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of software development concepts, cloud-based applications, testing methodologies, and release management.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to identify project risks and contribute to successful project delivery.

Salary: €33,000 - €36,000
Allowance: €1,500
Bonus: Up to 5%
