Boston Link is currently supporting a well-established insurance firm in Malta who are seeking an experienced Motor Claims Manager to lead their Motor Claims function and drive technical excellence, operational performance, and continuous improvement across the department.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced claims professional with strong technical expertise in motor claims, bodily injury, liability management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Motor Claims team, ensuring high-quality claims handling and operational efficiency.
- Manage complex motor claims, including bodily injury, high-value damages, and liability disputes.
- Oversee claims reviews, reserve accuracy, cost control, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage relationships with repairers, surveyors, vendors, and external legal partners.
- Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within the claims function.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to claims handlers.
- 5+ years’ experience within motor claims, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of motor liability, bodily injury claims, and repair processes.
- Experience managing complex claims and working with external legal stakeholders.
- ACII qualified or working towards ACII (preferred).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Maltese and English.
