Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting operations for multiple international legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Prepare and review management accounts, month-end and year-end reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and general ledger activities.
- Coordinate VAT, tax reporting, statutory filings, and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, IFRS, and internal controls.
- Drive finance process improvements and support system enhancements.
- Coach and review the work of the Accountant, providing technical guidance and support.
- Act as deputy to the Finance Manager and support wider finance initiatives.
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience, ideally within an international or multi-entity environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior finance staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Based in Malta, with willingness to travel when required.
