This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to continue developing within an international financial services environment, working closely with different areas of the business and gaining broad exposure across finance operations and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting month-end closing and preparation of journal entries
• Performing balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Managing accruals and recording financial transactions
• Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
• Preparing payment runs and assisting with banking-related matters
• Monitoring and reconciling cash accounts
• Supporting VAT preparation and other local reporting requirements
• Assisting with external audits and preparation of supporting documentation
• Contributing to management accounts and financial reporting
• Supporting improvements and automation of accounting processes

What we are looking for:

• At least 2 years of accounting experience
• Degree in Accounting or currently pursuing ACCA
• Good understanding of IFRS/GAAP
• Knowledge of Maltese VAT and tax regulations
• Strong reconciliation and month-end experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluent English
• Previous consolidation exposure would be considered an advantage
