A leading regulatory organisation is seeking an Information Security Officer to join its Information Security & Cyber Resilience team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a cybersecurity professional looking to develop their career in a highly regulated environment. You'll play a key role in protecting critical information assets, strengthening cyber resilience, and supporting the continual improvement of the organisation's Information Security Management System (ISMS).
 
The Role
Working closely with the Information Security Manager and wider ICT teams, you'll contribute to security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, compliance, and security awareness initiatives across the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Assist with security reviews, access control, configuration, and compliance assessments.
  • Support internal and external security audits, maintaining documentation and tracking remediation actions.
  • Monitor and investigate security events, alerts, and incidents using security monitoring platforms.
  • Assist in the management of SIEM, XDR, NDR, and other security technologies.
  • Support vulnerability management, security hardening, patching, and remediation activities.
  • Conduct security, vulnerability, and risk assessments across infrastructure, networks, cloud, and applications.
  • Coordinate penetration testing programmes and ensure remediation of identified findings.
  • Provide security guidance to Infrastructure, Networks, and Software Development teams.
  • Deliver security awareness initiatives and contribute to building a strong security culture.
  • Participate in cyber incident response and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Support day-to-day ICT Service Desk operations when required, collaborating across technical teams.
 
About You
We're looking for someone with:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline (MQF Level 6 or equivalent).
  • Experience in information security, cybersecurity, GRC, or a related technical security role.
  • Knowledge of security assessments, vulnerability management, risk assessments, or penetration testing.
  • Good understanding of ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and GDPR.
  • Familiarity with security monitoring, detection, and response technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud, infrastructure, networking, and secure configuration principles.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
 
Nice to Have
  • Professional certifications such as ISC2 CC, Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SIEM, XDR, NDR, or vulnerability management platforms.
  • Exposure to secure software development or security architecture.
  • Experience supporting cyber resilience or disaster recovery initiatives.

Salary: €31,000 - €35,000
Allowance: €1,500
Bonus: Up to 5%
