Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of international clients and deliver accounting services accurately and on time.
- Maintain accounting records and bookkeeping, including reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Prepare management accounts, year-end files and related accounting documentation.
- Handle Maltese VAT, payroll and income tax compliance requirements and deadlines.
- Liaise with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Coordinate with senior accounting colleagues, tax advisors, auditors and other third parties.
- Monitor client and regulatory deadlines and proactively address potential issues.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a CSP, accounting firm or similar accounting role.
- Client-facing experience in an international professional environment.
- Part-qualified ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Working knowledge of Maltese VAT and income tax requirements.
- Good knowledge of accounting, reconciliations, management accounts and year-end preparation.
- Experience with accounting software; Xero is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Audit firm experience is an asset.
