Key Responsibilities:
- Take investment opportunities from initial assessment through negotiations and completion.
- Develop new contacts and sourcing channels to build a diverse pipeline of potential investments.
- Review markets, business models and financial information to assess opportunities and coordinate due diligence.
- Track portfolio performance and contribute to the operations of selected businesses.
- Gain an understanding of new sectors and keep up with emerging trends.
- Build lasting relationships with founders, operators and the wider startup community.
- Work closely with portfolio founders, providing strategic input and serving as their main contact following investment.
- Two years of venture capital experience.
- A solid understanding of the startup landscape and market developments.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling and cap table analysis.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
- Curiosity, initiative and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
- A collaborative attitude and strong work ethic.
- Fluency in English; German would be an advantage.
- Availability to work in Malta.
