About the Opportunity
 
We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join an established technology company developing advanced software solutions for regulated industries.
This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated platforms focused on transaction monitoring, fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Responsible Gaming.
 
You will be involved in developing and improving applications that process large volumes of transactional data, using advanced monitoring techniques, anomaly detection and data visualisation to identify and investigate suspicious activity.
 
Working closely with product and implementation teams, you will contribute to both software development and the successful delivery of solutions to customers.
The position offers a combination of hands-on development, technical problem-solving and involvement throughout the software implementation lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
• Analyse technical challenges and deliver effective, reliable software solutions.
• Work closely with product and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support customer implementations, including system integrations, customisation and application scaling.
• Develop and improve functionality supporting transaction monitoring, fraud detection and investigation workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in application performance, functionality and scalability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support when required.
• Help ensure applications meet appropriate security, performance and reliability standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, particularly with client/server and web application architectures.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a related field.
• Strong development experience with Golang and/or Java.
• Experience developing applications using web frameworks.
• Good working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Experience with messaging and middleware technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of web application security, security protocols and secure development practices.
• Experience with SQL and database management.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to development.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React for frontend development.
• Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Good frontend development and UI design skills.
• Exposure to big data technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark or time-series databases.
• Previous experience developing applications for AML, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring or regulated industries.
