Our client is a fast-growing non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange focused on giving users full control of their assets while delivering a secure, high-performance trading experience. Operating without holding customer funds, they combine decentralised principles with institutional-grade product quality. They are now seeking a General Manager to lead the business with a strong emphasis on growth, commercial performance, and operational excellence.
Location: Hybrid Larnaka based (for candidates with very strong experience role can be based also remote /abroad across EU)

About the Role This is a senior leadership position with broad accountability for the performance and growth of the exchange. As General Manager you will combine commercial leadership with operational oversight — driving business growth, partnerships, and revenue while ensuring the organisation executes efficiently and scales in a controlled way.
The ideal profile has a strong commercial background (CCO or Commercial Director level) and the ability to run the wider business day to day.
Key Responsibilities - Lead day-to-day management of the business with a clear focus on growth and commercial results
- Own or co-own the business growth agenda: user acquisition, volume, revenue, partnerships, and market expansion
- Translate company strategy into clear commercial and operational plans, priorities, and KPIs
- Drive performance across growth, partnerships, liquidity relationships, and key commercial channels
- Oversee operational excellence across product delivery, trading operations, client support, and internal processes
- Coordinate closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and Business Development
- Build and manage strategic partnerships (liquidity providers, market makers, wallets, ecosystem partners)
- Identify new market and revenue opportunities while protecting the non-custodial model and compliance standards
- Build scalable processes, reporting, and governance suitable for a high-growth digital asset business
- Represent the company with partners, key clients, and at industry events
- Lead, mentor, and develop team leads; foster a high-ownership, commercially driven culture
- Act as a key escalation point for complex commercial, operational, and client issues
What We're Looking For - Proven senior leadership experience as General Manager, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Commercial Director, Head of Growth, or similar within crypto exchanges, digital assets, trading platforms, or fintech
- Strong commercial track record with direct ownership of growth, revenue, or partnership results
- Solid understanding of non-custodial / decentralised exchange models and how they differ from custodial platforms
- Experience running or scaling multi-functional teams in a fast-growing environment
- Strong grasp of crypto market structure, trading behaviour, and growth levers (acquisition, liquidity, partnerships)
- Experience working with compliance, risk, and security considerations in digital assets
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise ruthlessly and deliver results in a high-paced setting
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
Nice to Have - Previous CCO or Commercial Director experience in crypto, exchanges, or fintech
- Existing network across exchanges, liquidity providers, market makers, or institutional digital asset players
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting non-custodial platforms in key jurisdictions
- Experience scaling a commercial or growth function from growth stage toward structured maturity
