German Speaking Legal & Compliance Manager (iGaming)

Boston Link is currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a Legal & Compliance Manager role in Germany. The position can be based in Malta, Munich, or remote.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in the German market. Responsibilities include advising on compliance matters, managing license conditions, drafting policies and procedures, overseeing tasks and issues, and providing guidance and training on compliance matters.

Key Objectives:
  • Act as the main advisor for compliance requirements in Germany and occasionally other markets.
  • Assist the Legal team in managing litigation in Germany and German-speaking markets.
  • Maintain a close relationship with legal advisors.
  • Manage policies and procedures in Germany, including AML and RG.
  • Guide AML & RG processes for Germany.
  • Provide compliance advice, guidance, and training.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to German authorities.
  • Review compliance of marketing and product developments.
  • Keep senior management informed of regulatory updates.
  • Conduct audits and reviews as required.
  • Fulfill regulatory positions as requested.
  • Review product and advertising for compliance.
  • Provide additional support as needed.
Key Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in gambling compliance.
  • Strong German language skills (ideally native) and fluent in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of German gambling regulations, including AML, consumer law, and anti-money laundering.
  • Familiarity with the gambling industry.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt methodologies.
  • Professional and service-oriented interaction with stakeholders.
