A large local group of companies are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the team! As the Group CFO, you will be responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company.
  
In addition, you will also contribute to the development of our financial and operational strategy, KPIs, and the ongoing development and monitoring of the financial system.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  
As the key member of the executive management team, the CFO interacts with senior stakeholders and other members of a company. A CFO job description should include:
  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team;
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team;
  • Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting;
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning;
  • Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets;
  • Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the Group;
  • Take a role in financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships whilst providing financial expertise during negotiations;
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders;
  • Managing the organization's cash flow and liquidity, ensuring it has the necessary funds to meet operational needs;
  • Overseeing investment strategies and capital structure;
  • Developing and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position;
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and fiscal laws and regulations;
  • Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures.
  
  
Qualifications and Requirements:
  
  • At least 10 years' experience in the finance industry and proven leadership and management experience is essential ideally within a multi industry environment;
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights;
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards;
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high performing finance teams.
  
A Bachelor’s Degree in the following will be expected for this role:
  • Accounting
  • Finance or Economics
* An MBA or CPA is also highly desirable
