Our client, a leading international online gambling company, is expanding its operations in the Netherlands and is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead and optimize our activities in the local NL office in Utrecht. Committed to providing a world-class gaming experience while adhering to regulatory standards, Our client is seeking a strategic leader to build and oversee a growing operational team.
  
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the operational strategy for the Utrecht office in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across all operational functions in close collaboration with the central teams in the group.
  • Implement operational best practices and processes to enhance overall effectiveness.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a cross-functional operational team covering Responsible Gaming, Compliance, AML, KYC, Customer Service, Customer Care, and Business Intelligence.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Be the main point of contact of operational group functions such as payments, risk & fraud, finance etc.
Risk Management:
  • Manage the existing risk management framework, ensuring its effectiveness in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to integrate risk management into day-to-day operations.
  • Proactively address potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Commercial Integration:
  • Work closely with the commercial teams to launch and build the brand successfully in the Dutch market.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives to maximize market presence and drive business growth.
Performance Metrics:
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to drive operational excellence.
  
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in an operational management role.
  • Experience within the online gambling industry is a big plus, but not an absolute requirement. Affinity for the industry is however essential.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in presenting and mitigating issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse teams.
