Our Client a large Global Reinsurer, is a fast-growing, extremely efficient company, leveraging the latest technology, and looking to strengthen its IT team with the addition of a skilled and motivated individual.
 
The successful candidate for the Junior IT Support Coordinator role will support the IT Manager and the business, and also work in close cooperation with the the Service Delivery team and other supporting departments.
 
The successful candidate will be occupying a role that provides an excellent opportunity for development and growth in a first-class international organization. Internal and external training will be supported and provided where required. This position offers exciting challenges and insights within a world-class reinsurance company.


The Role
  • Support the IT operation and coordination with other companies as required.
  • Support coordination on IT topics with the IT division of the headquarters as required.
  • Support internal and outsourced processes and coordination with the respective expert units.
  • Ensure usability of IT hardware and software: look after IT hardware and organize its maintenance; coordinate software upgrades; coordinate measures to re-establish usability of hard- or software in cases of disruptions.
  • Support in the coordination of the company’s IT disaster recover, business continuity, information and facility security topics.
  • Support in the coordination of other general operations and IT topics.
  • Support in the management of IT service providers.
  • Supporting the IT Manager as required.
Requirements
  • A university degree or a high level diploma in IT .
  • At least 2 years of professional experience related to IT.
  • A good understanding of the concepts of Information Security and Business Continuity Management topics.
  • A passion for technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • A strong affinity to IT topics in general.
  • Fluent business English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to learn and develop in the (re)insurance and IT field.
  • Precise way of working, pro-active and result oriented.
  • Confident personality and positive attitude.
  • Very good team player with a high level of commitment with the motivation to work in an international environment
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational streams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Insurance knowledge preferred.
