The Business Analyst will play a critical role in driving the development and enhancement of our TCAR Private Client Portal. This position requires a strong understanding of business processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, business teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and the development team, to ensure the Client Portal meets the evolving needs of our clients.
The Duties Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Engage with business teams and SMEs to identify, develop, document, validate, and endorse business requirements.
Draft detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Translate business needs into clear and concise functional and non-functional requirements.
Agile Collaboration:
Participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies and rituals: Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Iteration/Release Planning, Showcases, Sprint Reviews.
Work with the product owner to provide candidate stories for sprint planning and identify the highest-value stories. Work with the operations teams to confirm non-functional
Demonstrate Agile behaviors, fostering a collaborative and iterative development environment.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze user behavior data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Utilize Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards on client and staff portal usage.
Monitor and analyze portal data to identify inconsistent use by users.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Draft guidelines and procedures for portal usage.
Communication:
Liaise with SMEs and business teams to address queries and resolve issues.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Client Portal Product Owner.
User Access Management:
Manage user access rights within the portal.
Project Assistance:
Assist with project-related tasks, such as portal upgrades and new feature implementations.
Skills and Knowledge
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a web-based application environment.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies. Demonstrated ability to undertake business analysis within an Agile environment with experience in requirement elicitation, gathering, documentation and management.
Demonstrate a functional and conceptual understanding of technical matters and the proven ability to learn new business domains and technical applications quickly.
Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation. Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical and business reports and proposals for all levels of the business.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, particularly Power BI.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross functional teams.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations and training to various audiences across the Caribbean.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
